Take comfort in that he provided millions with the confidence to improve their lives through the joy of cooking, and showed many an inquisitive youngster as myself how to cook, cook well and enjoy it. Food at what I know must be a very difficult time. My sincerest condolences to the Ginsburg family and the staff of Mr. Television has lost one of its greatest personalities, culinary arts one of the most practical practitioners, and future generation of youngsters one more source of practical, real-life education. They helped me to see the possibilities of cooking and it has served me well from simply taking care of myself as an adult to cooking for friends and family. Food, along with Julia Child and The Frugal Gourmet were three of the greatest influences on my actual love for cooking. While my mother and my grandmothers showed me the basics of how to cook, Mr. Food aired on WCVB in Boston, and I watched their noon news simply so I could watch him on days I didn't have school. I hope Howard can get back to my Noon newscast to keep Art's legacy alive in the Boston Area for years to come. I look forward to your daily e-mails and have nearly 400 of your recipes in my recipe box. I immediately went to the website and signed up. I sorely missed the segments and didn't even know it still existed until about 4 months ago when I ran into it on the internet simply by accident and remembered the name and tagline. I distinctly remember his "OOH IT'S SO GOOD !!" line at the end of each segment. I did not know Art had passed because of the discontinuation of the segment right after his passing with no explanation. I don't know why and I would love to see it return to NewsCenter5 since I still watch that newscast. After Art passed NewsCenter5 stopped carrying the Mr. Food in the Boston Area on NewsCenter5 at Noon.
